Statement of Beliefs

*   We believe the Bible to be the inspired, the only infallible, authoritative Word of God.  (I Thessalonians 2:13; 2 Timothy 3:15-17)

 *   We believe God created the world from nothing and governs all things at all times in all places.  (Genesis 1:1-2; Psalm 24:1)

 *   We believe that there is one God, eternally existent in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.  (Matthew 28:19; Ephesians 4:4-6)

 *   We believe in the deity of our Lord Jesus Christ, in His virgin birth, in His sinless life, in His miracles, in His substitutionary death through His shed blood, in His bodily resurrection, in His ascension to the right hand of the Father, and in His personal return in power and glory.  (John 1:1; Matthew 1:21-23; John 1:29; Hebrews 4:15; Acts 2:22-24; Romans 8:34; Acts 1:9-11)

 *   We believe that acceptance of Jesus Christ and the receiving of the Holy Spirit is the only path to salvation for lost and sinful men.  (John 3:16; John 5:24; Titus 3:3-7)

 *   We believe that baptism is a significant expression of one’s commitment to the Lord.  (Romans 6:3-4; I Peter 3:21)

*   We believe in eternal life, and that through belief in Jesus Christ as the Son of God, we spend eternity with the Lord in Heaven.  We believe that in rejecting Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior, we receive eternal suffering in hell.  (Matthew 25:31-46; I Thessalonians 4:13-18)

 *    We believe in the present ministry of the Holy Spirit, who lives within and guides Christians so they are enabled to live godly lives and instruct others in the faith.  (John 14:15-26; John 16:5-16; Ephesians 1:13-14)

 *   We believe in the spiritual unity of believers in our Lord Jesus Christ and that all who believe are members of His body, the Church.  (I Corinthians 12:12, 27; Ephesians 1:22-23)

 *   We believe God’s design for sexual intimacy is to be expressed only within the context of marriage between one man and one woman and that the term “marriage” has only one meaning: the uniting of one biological man and one biological woman in a single, exclusive union, as delineated in Scripture.  (Genesis 2:18-25; Matthew 19: 5-6; Mark 10:6-9; I Corinthians 6:9)
